Every summer I change my makeup routine a bit. I tend to wear lighter foundation and add a layer of my staple sunscreen by Neutrogena underneath (I'm very prone to burning). But more than anything, bronzers are present in pretty much every single one of my looks in the summer.

In this blog post, I wanted to walk you through some of my fave bronzers. They come in all shapes and price ranges so take your pick :)

1. Nars Laguana Bronzing Powder ($32)
laguana
Laguana is pretty much my most used bronzer. It's not totally matte and has slight shimmer. But the shimmer pretty much just adds a nice "glow" to my skin. I find the bronzers that are too matte or too shimmery can make my skin (I'm light to light medium) look muddy. But Laguana is just perfect. The colour is just it; makes you look tanned and glowy. There's no orange tones in it at all. I think Laguana works for a variety of skintone from fair to dark as it's very builable.

2. Too Faced Sun Bunny ($28)

Too Faced Sun Bunny is a very versatile bronzer as it has two shades inside; a lighter tan shade and a darker bronze shade. I usually swirl the two shades together and end up with a great bronzey look. I use the lighter side in the winter on its own though as I find together they're a little too dark for my winter skin. Sun Bunny is slightly more shimmery than Laguana but not overly so. It's still adds a lovely glowy look to your cheeks. Sun Bunny also photographs amazingly well, I find I cannot go overboard with it and I'm heavy handed with bronzers.

3. Annabelle Zebra Bronzing Powder ($10.95CAD)

Canadian cosmetics brand Annabelle continues to impress me with the quality of their products. This newest addition to their bronzing family is a lovely compact with a gradient of colours from lighter tan to darker bronze. You can easily blend and swirl the colours to your satisfaction. Zebra bronzing powder adds a tanned look with slight shimmer to my cheeks. Once again the shimmer is definitely not overwhelming, only results in pretty and sun-kissed look. I have tried a variety of drugstore bronzers in the past and this one is definitely my fave.

Hope this post was helpful to you guys. I wanted to show you that no matter your budget and need, there is a bronzer out there for you.

Amina - seems like u're a bronzing fiend too. I must admit I hardly ever use them in the winter but can't get enough of bronzers in the summer. I've heard great things about BB bronzers too *adds to wishlist*
