I picked up Cassis eyeliner as part of my Chanel Fall 2010 haul. I've been looking for a red toned purple eyeliner for a bit and thought Cassis would fit the bill.

Let's get to it: Chanel products are pricey and that is a given. I've had amazing experience with their lip products so I decided to venture to some of their other products as well. For Cassis, you get 0.01oz of products for $28. It's typical of twist on eyeliners to have less products in them. I love the convenience of not having to sharpen so I personally love twist on's. Cassis swatches as a beautiful smokey plum purple. It's very pigmented and lasts on my lids and lower lashline until I take it off. I would say it doesn't last on the waterliner as long, perhaps more like 3-4 hours.

The application is easy and the liner glides on with minimal effort. The shade itself look awesome on my honey brown/hazel eyes. As a lover of all things purple/plum, I've already got a lot of use out of this. I cannot think of any con besides the price. I would say Cassis might be my last Chanel eyeliner purchase even though I love and use it a lot. I think I'll stick to MUFE aqua eye liners as they are also long lasting yet more affordable ($17 for 0.04 oz).
