My days at work continue to be beyond busy. Last night again I got home so late that there was no way I could drag myself into the gym. We're handing over a Cancer Centre at the General Hospital here and as it's a huge project, the whole team is stretched out thin.

I just got back to the office and am leaving again soon but thought I quickly post my neutral look of today. It's nothing special but here it is anyway:

I really like Rose pigment. The weird thing is that Rose is warm frosty, not the type of colour I'm usually drawn to as I prefer cool and matte colours. But this one is just so unique. I don't think I've ever seen a dupe for Rose. I also looove this pigment as lipstick or blush. Here's the look I did with it today.

I have searched a long time for my HG foundation and I think I've found it in Makeup Forever HD foundation. I bought this foundation two months ago and after wearing it for this amount of time, I thought it was time to do a review.



I have always had issues with colour match. I've been matched to foundations that have been too dark (most of the time) or too light (sometimes). I feel like my skintone is not a common one and neither are my undertones. It took me a while to realize that there's no foundation for me at MAC. Then I started experimenting with other brands until I got to MUFE. I know I'm late to the party but better late than never. I was matched to MUFE HD in shade 118 (flesh) which is decribed in "foundation for light skin with beige undertone". That's it! Before MUFE, I was not able to find a foundation that was neutral enough for me. They are all either too yellow or too pink. This is the perfect match, it blends into my skin flawlessly. I wear it over my trusty Cover FX primer using a 187 (stippling) brush and I get the perfect skin...and my skin is far from perfect.

I also really like the coverage of this foundation. It's labled as medium coverage but I find that it's definitely buildable. I need medium coverage most days anyway. I have combination skin with some red/dry spots on my cheeks. I use one pump press only and it's enough for my entire face plus neck. This foundation lasts on me all day long without looking orange or oily. It also photographs absolutely amazing. I can just not rave enough about it.

The only con I can think of is the price. I paid about $48 CAD for this but I'm still not complaining. I feel like flawless skin is the first step in looking great and this is the only foundation that gives me that.

I def recommend MUFE HD to everyone. They come in 25 different shades so you should be able to find yours easily.

We went to Dim Sum today with 6 close friends of our to celebrate Marc's b-day. We has a great time and enjoyed some yummy food. I spent the rest of today cleaning the house, helping Marc with raking the last of fall leaves and doing groceries. I thought I share the look I wore to brunch today. I had done a similar look before (inspired by MAC's Tone Gray Quad), but this time I changed the colour placement.

I am so grateful my stressful week is finally over! I celebrated by waking up late, eating delicious omelet made by dearest husband, then going shopping (Zara, yay!). After that we went to see A Christmas Carol. I really really liked it. But again I loved the book as a kid as I was a Dickens fan and I also looooved the original Disney cartoon.

Tomorrow we're going to China Town for Dim Sum for Marc's b-day, big 2-8! How's everyone's weekend so far? Anything special planned or relaxing like me?

I quite like the look of this nail polish, which is China Glaze Atlantis over Misa I will Survive. Unfortunately I don't think you can see just glittery and gorgeous it actually is in these pics. I find the glitters are impossible to photograph, but they look so stunning under artificial light. Atlantis is a light teal base with multiple colour big glitters. I see teal, green and gold and you can see any of that in this pic :( Does anyone have any tips in photographing glitters? If so please let me know
