How I adore thee MAC's Chez Chez Lame special reserve powder! You are the best highlighter ever made! I cannot stop using this powder. I was wearing on top of my blushes and bronzers before but on Saturday I tried it on its own and it still looks great. I think Chez Chez Lame is officially my favourite face product purchase of this fall/winter.

I paired my beloved highlight powder with green eyes for a dinner party we were hosting on Saturday. Hope you guys enjoy this look:

Hi beauties! This is gonna be a less creative week for me in terms of blogging and you'll probably just see my everyday FOTD's. I'm tutoring about 14 hours of calculus this week and barely have time to rest once I get home let alone think about thought provoking blog posts, lol! Hope you enjoy today's look though. As promised in my Return of the Vamp post, I will be doing a series of festive look in the spirit of the holiday season. I will probably have a couple of these festive looks up every week, squeezed in between my other looks. I have a tone of ideas already and am super psyched!

For the first holiday look, I thought I start off with a more unexpected look. I went for all yellow shades on the eyes and glossy frosty red lips. I had a lot of fun with this unusual combo, hope you guys enjoy it too!

Hey guys! We've been having milder temperature in the capital these days and yesterday it actually went up to a high of 10C, which is rare for here this time of the year. I had just purchased Nars Heat Wave l/s and thought this was the perfect opportunity to wear it. I was always intrigued by this orangey red l/s but intimidated by something as fiery on my beige to peachy skintone (NW25). Then I heard Dara of Belle Du Jour rave about it on Twitter and gave in. I must admit I actually love this lipstick! I'm used to blue toned reds but this orangey shade really brightens my complexion in a way I never imagined!

So anyway, if you are neutral to cool skintone, don't be scared off by this lipstick, it will be more suitable than you think. I did a very simple eye look with this lipstick to let it do the talking. Let me know what you think.

Happy Monday beauties! I attended the Ottawa Wine and Food show on Saturday with hubby and a few friends and we had a blast. This is an annal show in which you can sample the best of beverages and sample platters in the country. It's a very popular event so you always gotta go early or you's stuck in a line up for a long time!

I did a bright look to go with my bright blue dress I wore to the show. I used mostly Inglot eyeshadows and once again I cannot rave enough about them. They definitely blow all my MAC and even most of my MUFE eyeshadows off the water.

I'm finally home so now I can play with my new makeup! I'm having less stressful days at work and the weather is nice (cool but sunny), I'm back to my regular blogging schedule... so in general all is great in the world again and I'm in a great mood. Here you have the second Cult of Cherry Inspired look. Again, I didn't buy the quads in this collection and am not trying to dupe the exact colours, it's simply an inspiration as I looooved that collection. These colours are more like the ones in Spiced Chocolate quad, warm and bronzey. I paired them with juicy red lips (hello Cult of Cherry l/g) as I didn't want to do predictable nude lips. Hope you guys like it!

It's a cold and rainy day today and it seems like we're gonna be rained on all week long. I wanted to wear my Chartreuse pigment which I hadn't used in a minute. I thought why not turn this look into a Tempting Quad inspired look. Tempting quad was released with MAC's Cult of Cherry collection (one of MAC's finest) back in 2008. Now I actually didn't get any of the CoC quads, only lip products. But thought it would be good idea to do a series of Cult of Cherry looks inspired by the quads and the deep vampy lip products.

I'm not having a greatest time these days as I continue to be super overwhelmed with work and other mix issues. But I like blogging as a distraction where everybody speaks the language of makeup :D I did this fall inspired look today and used my beloved Heritage Rouge pigment. As I mentioned on this blog before, I adore burgundy tones on my eyes. There's just something about this types of shades.

I paired the whole thing with berry lips to be fully fall-like cliche, lol! Hope you guys like this. Oh and excuse the imperfect liner, I guess I rushed when I got to that part.

I did this look over the weekend actually when one of my dear friends who's been away from the country came over 10 months came to visit me. I really like neutral eyes and bold lips; this is the type of look I always go back to. The bold lips could be red, bright pink or dark wine like Chanel's Rouge Noir Rouge Coco (total HG by now).

This look is the exact opposite of the look I posted yesterday with the drama focused on the lips. I think that I personally prefer bold lips on me than bold eyes. But I also like variety. Oh, and I love Chanel's Inimitable mascara, it does a great job at curling my lashes and the burgundy shade really brings out the gold and green in my golden brown eyes.

This is the first look I did for the series of b-day I attended last Saturday. This party started at 4 pm so this is more of a day look. I love wearing pink and purple together but I don't think I have done this colour placement for the two shades before.

My Monday's been very busy so far. I'm eating lunch as I'm typing and have two more site visits to do before the end of today. I'll probably be working late (hey, what else is new?).
