Hey beauties! I wanted to do a warm look to contrast the drab and cloudy weather we were having yesterday. I recently purchased a few Lancome Rouge in Love lipsticks and I'm absolutely in LOVE with them (no pun intended). They have such great texture and beautiful colours. I will try and do a review of them soon.

I used Miss Coquelicot, a beautiful tangerine shade, along with orange themed shades on eyes for this look. Hope you like it!

Hey beauties! I did a fresh and golden look that got me a lot of compliments despite the fact that it was super quick and easy to do. I like having various shades of gold on my eyes, it makes them look more sparkly! I went for light green base gold, medium gold and an orangey gold. I paired the eyes with the gorgeous pink red that is Chanel Cambon Rouge Coco, probably my fave Rouge Coco.

I'm really enjoying life these days as my workload is pretty balanced (for once), I'm not having morning sickness anymore but I also don't really have a bump so I'm quite comfortable. Also, hubby and I are planing a one week vacation for 3 weeks from now. We're thinking either Jamaica or Aruba. The planing has got me excited :D

Hope you like this look:

I also finally got my hands on three of Essie's "Affect" polishes. So I layered "Shine of Times" over OPI's Yes I Can Can. I'm loving the final look, next I will try it over white or cream polishes:

Have a great Wednesday hight everyone!

Hey beauties! I finally have a review for you. This one is a product that I have a feeling will reach holly grail status for me, so stay tuned:

Nars describes their new tinted moisturizer as "Your skin, but better" and says that the newest addition to their foundation range is oil free and will offer sun protection while helping to reduce skin imperfection.

I'm a fan of light weight and water based foundations like Nars Sheer Glow, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and Lancome Teint Miracle. However, never before had I tried tinted moisturizer so I was impatiently waiting the released of this. After a month of using this tinted moisturizer, I feel that I can give it a fair review.

***My skin type is combination and sensitive. I wear "light shades" and "cool or neutral" undertones in most brands***

Formula and Application: Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (TM - from here on, lol) feels creamy but very lightweight. It's very easy to apply using your fingers and adheres to skin immediately. You can build up to medium coverage if desired but I prefer a light application. I like that I can reduce my beauty steps and skip applying moisturizer first when I use this product. The SPF30 means that I can also skip my regular sunblock. Without setting powder, I stay shine free for about 8 hours. I have a feeling in hotter summer months I'll need to powder up after 4 hours.

Packaging and Price: Nars TM comes in a squeezable tube which I like as I can toss it in my travel bag and it doesn't weigh it down. It's a bit pricey though at around $48CAD but I've come to terms with Nars price point as I more often that not find my HG's in this brand.

Colour Match: I got the shade Alaska which is the second lightest shade. It's currently a bit dark and orange on me (as you see in picture below) but I make due until I tan. The TM is quite light in texture so it's forgiving when a bit too dark. I find it surprising that there are not too many fair to light shades for this product but quite bit of tan to dark shades. My sister who's a bit lighter than MAC NW15 could not find a shade match in this range just FYI fairer beauties.

Nars TM on my inner arm (currently NW20)

Overall, I really like this new product. My first experience with a tinted moisturizer and definitely a positive one. I've been told my skin looked great since I started wearing it and I enjoy going through less beauty steps.

Have you tried Nars new Tinted Moisturizer? What is your favourite light weight foundation?

Happy Monday friends! This look is from last Friday. The temperature dropped a bit to a level much more comfortable for me (I'm very heat intolerant). I wanted to wear darker shades on my eyes...it has been a long time since I did any kinda smokey eyes. So I started slow with a blue/teal combo.

We're going through un-seasonally warm temperatures right now and I thought the mood was right to do a nautical inspired look. Do you guys remember MAC Naughty Nautical collection from spring 2008? That was one of my fave collections they ever did. I have a few items and used them in combination with other staples to create this look. Hope you like it :)

Oh btw, I'm probably a bit rusty again as it's been over a month since I wore colours on my eyes. I'm slowly getting back into the game though...

Flash pics:

And here's a simple outfit pic, but it was in the nautical theme. The pinstripe top is from Espirit, dark boot cut jeans from DKNY, red round toe pumps by Jessica Simpson. The earring I found in a market in Montreal last summer. They're made of some kind of nut and I wear them a lot :D Also as you can see, I'm not showing much of the pregnancy yet (17 weeks). We'll see what will happen in a few weeks though....

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

March 20, 2012
Today is the first day of spring and I just now realize how long it's been since the last time I made a post here. I've been a terrible blogger. Though I've had a good excuse. Check this out:
I'm 4 months pregnant! I've had a difficult first three months with a couple of misscarriage scares but things seem to have settled finally and I'm now emotionally in a good place. I'm due August 28th! The picture is from my first scan about a month ago.
I don't intend on turning this blog into a pregnancy update blog, I may just share little bits here and there unless you guys want to hear more. The blog will remain primary about my beauty rambling. There are so many posts that I have planned that I just had never got to and now I can finally start drafting them.
Hope you all have a wonderful first day of spring. Much love to you all!!
