Happy Victoria Day to my fellow Canadians! And everyone else hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I thought I compile a post with outfits I've worn out and about the past few weeks. Most of these have already been posted on instagram. I recently dropped a size down (now wear a size 6) which is exciting but also means I need new clothes....though that's not necessarily a bad thing ;)
This is a bright coral shirt from the Gap I scored at their end of season sale in March. I'm slowly warming up to the idea of neons near my face. The skirt is from Bedo and the leopard print pumps are by Nine West:
This outfit was worn on the first actual warm day of the year here in Ottawa. I had just picked up the paisley print shorts from Joe Fresh. I never had got anything for myself from there but I often browse their baby section. It actually fist pretty well. White button down is by Calvin Klein and the flat leather sandals are Gap (worn to death, I should have picked more colours when these were released a few years ago):
I love wearing short shorts as soon as the temperature rises. This pair of cream and brown stripy ones are by J.Crew and I wore them with a simple black tank (I think by Le Chateau) and the same Gap sandals. Of course I also wore Sofia in her Grey Galaxy Ergo :D
Grey animal print tank from Simons and black interlock skirt by American Apparel. I have this skirt in 4 different colours; it's super comfy:
Outfit worn for a day of shopping in the mall; something chic but comfortable. Navy maxi skirt by BCBG and white tank by J.Crew, a delicate layered necklace by Aldo and Oh.My.God the same leather Gap sandals!!!
Lunch with coworkers outfit which consisted of a mint maxi dress from Forever21 (love love love it...this is the only shade they had left in my size), Aldo bib necklace and moto leather jacket by Danier Leather:
A more professional outfit worn to a meeting with my boss (I'm going back to work in 2 months). Red shift dress by Jacobs cinched at waist with a skinny leather black belt. Beige leather spring jacket by Danier Leather and the beige patent leather pumps are by Steve Madden. This is the type of outfit I wear on a daily basis when I'm at work:
This is me wearing one of my only two t-shirts! I'm not really a t girl and all that I do own were gifted to me. This one I like as it has tattoo design on it. T-shirt by Guess, mint shorts by J.Crew, bejewelled sandals also by Guess:
Last but not least, today's outfit worn to the annual Ottawa Tulip Festival. Navy shirt by Forever21, neon yellow relaxed pants by the Gap and wedge sandals by Steve Madden:

Hi guys and happy Monday! I had a rough week dealing what is apparently called post-natal insomnia. I am slightly better now and feel a bit more like myself. I've made an appointment for referral to a specialist though and we will see how that will turns out.
I did this look for brunch yesterday. Hubby and I were hosting two couples (and their babies), so we had a full house. I went for soft metallic eyes paired with MAC Legendary Mattene (LE). Legendary is unlike any lip colour I usually wear but I always like this shade against my complexion. What do you guys think?
Face
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Santa Fe
Ben Nye powder
Chanel Notorious powder (will post swatches and review soon)
MAC Pink Cult blush (LE)
Eyes
Painterly p/p - base
BB Pewter Metallic e/s - inner lid
MAC Rose Gold p/m (Pro) - outer lid
Nars Bali e/s - crease
MAC Blanc Type e/s - highlight
UD Baked 24/7 - lower lashline
MAC Added Goodness f/l (LE) - to line
Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara
Lips
MAC Legendary Mattene
Outfit of the day is a cheetah print from the Gap, light washed flared jeans by Jessica Simpson (great for curvy girls btw), and random moccasins I bought from the Shoe Company for $50. I have an unhealthy obsession with moccasins :/ always seem to find a pair I have to have!
Also, I've become much more casual when it comes to my day outfits at least. I'm on mat leave so I don't need to dress up for the office and jeans are just easier. It's the first time in my life since high school I wear pants/jeans so often!

Hi guys! Another Tuesday and another "Things I love" series. This one is also fashion related and involves a colour: blush or pinky beige or whatever you call it. I like this shade as it is neutral but less boring than plain beige, also more flattering on my skintone. I went through my closet and found at least 30 items of this shade but selected my top 4 to feature.
Not surprisingly most of these items are sweaters. I live in cold climate so sweaters are must starting September sometimes into May:
Left to right: Zara cable knit sweater (recent), Gap basic sweater (recent), Jacob cashmere blend sweater (old), H&M rushed pencil skirt (old).
What is your favourite neutral shade to wear?

Hey lovelies! This is a look from last Friday worn under the scorching run. I went for simple outfit and makeup and popping red retro lips!
I'm literally living in my maxi dresses and skirt but this BCBG light jersey number has got to be my favourite! It's soooo comfortable on my preggo belly and is high waisted so the light stretchy band covers my entire belly. I paired it with a simple tank top from Smart Set and my flat leather sandals from Gap (which you cannot see in pic):
For the makeup, I kept it glowy and simple all over and went bold on the lips. I'm wearing one of my favourite lip products ever (and that is a tall order), Nars Dragon Girl. I only have a third of it left and cannot rave enough about this gorgeous retro red. The texture is awesome and despite owning more than 20 red lipsticks now, this remains one of my top 3 reds. Highly recommended to bold lips lovers!

I'm on fire this week with FOTD's! Funny enough my stressed out self is more imaginative and creative! Weird but it works for the blogging I suppose....
I'm a fan of looks that can achieve maximum impact with minimal number of products used. For that reason, I love me some cat shape smokey eyes. I only used two eyeshadows for this look; an all over look plus the purple to draw and fill in the cat eye. I left it un-blended as I wanted the cat eye to be dramatic and more high fashion, hahaha! It took a lot of effort not to blend the line though, I literally had to hide my MAC 217 brush!!! I also wore my beloved MAC Snob l/s, AGAIN! I know Snob is not really a fan fave but I love it on me and currently half way done my second tube. One of my first MAC purchases and still a fave of mine with weekly use.
Btw, if you follow me on Instagram, you probably see these looks a day or so before I post them here. My Instagram user ID is shadowy_lady.
Anyhuw, here's the look, hope you like :)
Face
Prolongwear foundation - NW25
Azalea Blossom b/o (LE - cannot think of a dupe sorry)

Solar White e/s - lid (LE - sub Vanilla pigment)
MUFE #92 e/s - to draw and fill in the liner
GA Eyes to Kill mascara
Lips

Outfit of the day is this paisley dress from Smart Set (super old) that you've probably seen me wear a lot. It's one of the few non-maxi dresses that still fit my preggo belly. The white denim jacket by Gap is also a summer staple of mine. I'm not a fan of blue denim jackets but the white I wear over and over again. Nude sandals are Nine West's:

Happy Sunday lovelies! This look is from last Friday and I liked how it all came together despite my very much in need of grooming brows. My mom is my eyebrow person and she's currently away on vacation (back Tuesday night) so I have to suffer till she's back. The look was achieved using different shades of gold and green using mostly MAC products and some of the pigments I hadn't reached for in a while.
What did everyone do this weekend? I ran a buncha errands including grocery shopping, cleaning up the yet to be baby room, buy some maxi dresses and maternity leggings...Sunday hubby and went for dim sum with a few friends and checked out Ottawa's Tulip Festival after.
Hope you like the look :)

Outfit of the Day - I'm not a huge green fan but I grabbed this neon green shirt from a sale at the Gap last week in an effort to try out the neon trend. I don't really like pairing neons with black coz I think it's too retro. However, I like the modern version of adding a softer neutral shade (beige, ivory or white), in this case my jersey maxi skirt (BCBG via Winners). I cinched the shirt at where my poor waistline used to be with a skinny belt.
This outfit was super comfy though. I like to remain stylish while pregnant but I'm definitely gearing towards comfier pieces at the same time :)

Hey pretties! I did this look on Sunday when out to brunch with hubby and a close couple friends of ours and their 9-months old baby. It was a beautiful sunny day too though still cool and I decided to wear a spring appropriate smokey eye using duochrome shades. Oh and do you guys know if Blue Brown pigment is DC'd or not? I don't see it on the site. I'm so glad I have a half jar of it still.
Btw, I posted my blog sale last night and you can find it in the post below. Please check it out and help me get rid of this stuff. Even if there's nothing you like, you can still help by RT'ing or mentioning it in your blogs. Thanks in advance for your help.
Here's the look breakdown:
Face
Nars Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska
Sculpt
Pink Cult blush (LE)
Eyes

Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara
Lips
In Synch l/l (LE)
Chanel Empire RA Laque (LE)
I'm liking my new hair regiment these days. I naturally have a lot of wavy hair but they are on the finer side. So now I put some Moroccanoil in then french braid them when they're wet and sleep in them to get more body and thickness when I open the braids in the morning.
I like this method as I don't like using heating tools or a lot of products on my hair. Here's a picture of the back:
The outfit for the brunch was a maxi dress I picked up at Charlotte Russ in the US last year plus a white denim Gap jacket (not worn in picture). I also wore flat Gap sandals from last year:
And here's a picture of me and my friends' bebe. He's my favourite baby ever and we get along very well ;) can't wait for my own lil one:
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
