Hi guys! I was told once I have a baby, I would have no time for my nails. As a nailpolish addict who changes her nail polish every single day, I find this statement to be partially untrue. I still change my nail polish, but now it's more like every 3 days. I definitely am not the time to totally forget my beauty routines, even with a 3-week old at home :)
OPI Jade is the New Black was released a couple of years ago and I believe it's part of OPI's permanent collection now. Let's just say that I've had this nail polish that long and this is only the second time I wear it :/ This is why I'm on no-buy and using what I have. Just like my makeup drawers, my nail polish boxes are overflowing!!
Jade is the New Black is a gorgeous forest green with creamy finish. I'm actually not a fan of green anything but this is dark enough to read more sophisticated and I'm cool with that. Application is a breeze and as always I love OPI's wide brush for my long nails. You can pretty much get away with one coat but I did two out of habit:

You cannot imagine how excited I am that it's finally Friday! This has been one of the worst weeks ever in terms of workload and being double booked all over the place. I'm just happy to go home and have a relaxing weekend with my hubby.
On my nails today I'm wearing Chanel Black Pearl which is a gray toned green. I'm not that great with shade description but that's how it looks like to me. It's almost metallic in finish and is quite unique in my stash. This shade was released with Chanel's spring collection and I'm pretty sure it's LE so run and get it if you like this types of shades.
Here's a two coater swatch for you guys:

Hey lovelies! As promised in my last post, here's a swatch of Illamsqua's Viridian from their fall collection. This is a shimmery green shade that in some lights, I coulda sworn I saw some blue particles in it but in my pic it looks mostly like a gorgeous forest green. This is my first experience with Illamasqua nail polishes and I must say I'm super impressed. I like the brush and the handle is very sturdy. The formula was excellent, not thick of watery. One coat gave me a very opaque finish.
Here's the one coater swatch for you. This is after two days of wear (no top coat):

Here we have one of my rare green NOTD. Unlike many nail enthusiasts, I'm not a huge fan of green polishes. I do like dark greens though, the ones that could be considered vampy shades. On my nails I have MAC Jade Dragon which was released with Nail Trends 10/11 this past August. This polish is a deliciously dark green with a slight bit of shimmer. The formula was amazing, I really could have got away with one medium coat but I did two. I'm quite impressed with MAC's new nail polish formula.
Here's a two coater swatch for you. Excuse a bit of messy application :P

Zoya Edyta is another polish that's been in my possession for over two months and finally I felt the urge to wear it. I'm telling ya, start of fall season has been very inspirational for me! Zoya is one of the most unique shades in my stash. It's a darker olive green shade with gold shimmer and applies very smoothly. One of those polishes you could do only one layer and get full on colour but I did two out of habit. I absolutely love this shade. I'm not the biggest fan of green nail polish shades but this one is so dark and sophisticated. I couldn't stop checking out my own nails today, hehe!

I wore China Glaze Four Leaf Clover as my St Patty's Day mani and I love this colour. It's a bright and awesome green. But I cannot for the life of me photograph it right! I tried so many different settings and no use. It looks much greener in real life, no blue in it at all! In fact I don't even know whey I'm posting this swatch, lol! I guess I just wanted to share my mani.

It seems like tomorrow is going to be a day that I'll be so busy at work that I won't even get to eat my lunch! I am due at 5 different sites back to back from 8:30 to 5:30 so I'm gonna take it super slow tonight and maybe watch some Dexter re-runs.
This is Jade is the New Black from OPI's new collection, Hong Kong. This is a very different green from the ones in my stash. I would say it has some blue undertone to it but it's not exactly teal. It's a gorgeous colour none the less. Application was a breeze and I could have gotten away with one coat but I did two.

I snatched Essie's Mint Candy Apple yesterday from our local Trade Secret. Mint Candy Apple is part of Essie's winter collection and the one colour that grabbed my attanetion ever since I saw the promo picture about a month ago. I'm a big fan of pastel colours and this one is no exception. I know pastels are hard tones for most ppl to wear but I find I have no difficulties with them (with the exception of peachy pastels). The formula on this was pretty good, I did two coats to get full opacity and also the nail polish dried pretty quickly to a beautiful mint colour.
Grab this one before it's gone. It's a unique and lovely colour:

Misa's Toxic Seduction is one sexy nail polish. It's dark, shimmery and green. That makes it about as sexy as it gets in my book. I think this is one of the top three fave polishes in my stash. As always with my Misa's, the application was great and drying time pretty short. You can still get this from any of the e-trailer if you would like, I highly recommend it!
This is two coats to make it opaque:

This is Here Today,...Aragon Tomorrow from OPI's Spain collection. I've actually had this for a month now and finally feel like wearing it as it's getting cooler. I was trying to maximize my brights and neons some more, lol! This is the only polish I got from the Spain collection and I must say it is very beautiful. Green is a big colour this year and this is a very dark forest green. I would say it's a lil too dark as in most pictures it almost looks black :( I still love it though. The texture is great and applies evenly but it dries a lil bit grainy, don't know where that came from!
Anyway, here it is on my nails, 2 coats of it, in direct sunlight:
Here's China Glaze Entourage from the kicks collection on my nails. This is 2 coats but I guess three coats would have made it more opaque. I just don't like to do three coats unless I absolutely have to. The formula for this was ok, much better than the Summer Days polishes. This is my first grass green type polish and I quite like it :)

Here's my mani for the day. Misa "the Grass is Greener on My Side" topped with Misa "Sweet Pleasure" which is a blue green glittery top coat. I have never owned a green polish before and though green is still not my favourite mani colour, I really don't mind it either. It's a nice change.
