Happy Saturday guys! I've been browsing makeup forums and something has caught my eyes after nearly 2 years. I have enough makeup to last me an eternity and beyond and it is so rare for me these days to get excited about beauty products. But look at this:

Sephora is doing a Princess Jasmine collection, OMG!! As a middle eastern and a huge fan of Aladdin and especially princess Jasmine, this excited me so much that I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning. When I was a kid, I was told by peers that I reminded them of fairer princes Jasmine, it used to make me feel so beautiful! And I remember wishing I had her tan and gorgeous long black hair :)

The Jasmine collection is to be released in March 2013 (yey, on time for Persian New Year) and is actually quite of a large collection. Based on what I read, there are:

- Large eyeshadow palette Jasmine Storylook Volume 2 including a 15 eyeshadows,  a bronzer and a blush
- Eyeshadow quad including three glitter shadows
- Nail polish set (Sephora by OPI)
- Eyeliner trio
- Perfume
- Body shimmer powder
- Mirror

Hey guys! I'm still feeling sick so today has not been the best day, but blogging shall go on, lol! It's still pretty hot here too, so I have no idea why all of the sudden I'm craving fall makeup. It might be the heat exhaustion!

Fall is my favourite season for everything beauty. My favourite shades to wear are vampy and deep shades like burgundy, black, blood red, navy and deep purple. I was a semi-goth as a teenager and I guess I never really left that behind. I've been browsing Temptalia site for fall collections and Chanel and Nars collections really appeal to me so far:

1. Chanel Les Contrast de Chanel


Isn't the promo pic stunning? This collection includes some nice and dark e/s and surprisingly bright and summary lip colour. You can see the whole colour story over at Temptalia but I have my eyes on:

- Enigma quad: this quad of smokey shade is just yummy looking. It has the potential of being my first Chanel quad
- Cassis e/l - this is a plum shade and I don't say no plum. Best colour for hazel peepers IMO
- Paradoxal - a gray violet nail polish? sign me up!
- Taupe Gris e/s - I love me some taupe!

2 Nars Fall 2010


Just drooling over that purple e/s in the promo pic. First thing I'm picking up! Lucky for me Nars rolls their LE products into their perm line and Chanel's fall stuff will be mostly perm. I want:

- Daphne e/s - the hottie purple shade. I adore Nars pigmented eyeshadows
- Mangover e/s - looks like a yummy yellow
- Tzarine e/s duo - peachy and charcoal goodness

I've been looking at all the upcoming collections from various brands and I have a huge lemming list. Fall is my favourite season for shopping for anything beauty and even for clothing. I think even though I love our short summers here in Ottawa, I just prefer darker and richer colours and hence I adore fall fashion and makeup. I'm going to be so broke this fall especially!

Anyway, here's my lemming list:

MAC's newest collection, Make Up Art Comestics is due for release in North America on August 20th. This is to be MAC's big fall collection, like Cult of Cherry last year or Smoke Signals in 2007. I'm a huge fan of MAC's fall collection as they tend to have more well rounded collections then and also more dramatic products.

This collection will have a someting for everyone. You can check out Spektra for complete list of products and early swatches. But so far this seems like it will be a big seller. There are 3 quads, 5 lipsticks, 5 lipglasses, 2 blushes, 6 single eyeshadows, 5 technakhol eyeliners, 4 pigments and 4 glitters! It's huge! Now looking at them all, it seems like my wishlist is not a big one again. I guess it migtht have to do with my collection slowly becoming so big that I don't get easily excited about MAC new collections anymore. Here's my wishlist based on preliminary info:

- Young Thing l/g - Yellow Neutral with gold pearlized pigments (Frost)
- Push the Edge p/m - Deep bright purple with pearlized pigments (Frost)
- Photo Realism Quad

I need to save up for Style Black which excites me much more! What's everyone getting from this collection?

MAC's Colour Craft is out in stores next Thursday and though I was going to pass the collection entirely, as swatches have become available, I've developped a medium size lemming list. The colour collection info and pictures can be found at Temptalia.

This collection is composed of mineralized products (eyeshadows, skin finishes and blushes) as well as lipsticks and lipglosses with new packaging. I have had very bad experience with MAC's mineralized eyeshadows twice before so I will try to not get tempted a third time. However, I loved the blushes that came our with Sonic Chic so I will check out the blushes for sure. I only have one *gasps* MSF. I mostly use MAC's loose beaty powders and BB shimmer bricks for highlight. But I am interested in at least checking out the new MSF's. There are two types of MSF this type around; the veining type and the marbled ones (similar to the MSF"s relased with BBR).

The lipsticks look boring to me but the lipglosses sound promising. So here's my potential list:

I find out via Temptalia this morning that MAC is having this year's Friend's and Family sale between June 16th to 18th. I'm so excited!

I've been focusing on MAC's perm line and picking things up here and there. For example, I bought All That Glitters and Satin Taupe e/s (finally) when I was in the mall yesterday. This sale is a great opportunity for me to stock up on things I've been lemming for a while. Depending on how much cash I have available I want:

I have been reading on ppl's favourite items from MAC Pro as I'm planing on hitting one while I'm in Vancouver. I have only been to a Pro store once (in Toronto) where I picked up some pigments and barely paid attention to anything else. This time I spent time browsing the MAC pro website and want so many things! Lol, too many lemmings and not enough money. This is the list of what I want, we'll see how much of it I can actually get:

White Chromaline - definite as I want a white base
Salsarose blush pan - definite bold blush
Cantaloupe blush pan - I need a peachy matter blush
Sculpting powder - definite, need something other than my Hard Candy bronzer for sculting

The Style Warrior Collection seems to be the most exciting collection MAC has had for a while. It's still no Cool Heat or Lure but better than any collection I've seen so far in 2009. I'm still not sure when this collection will be released. My store here in Ottawa says on the 21st. Some ppl on Specktra say that their locations have the collection on the 18th or even the 12th. I'm so confused and annoyed. I like to pick up my goodies on the day the collection is released. Either way, I will be in B.C. when this comes out. I will probably go to the PRO store to get some items from them and at the same time check out Style Warrior.

So far I'm liking the sound of Magnetique l/g, Secret Crush See Thru Colour, the e/s quad (I hope the Bays in Ottawa get this one), Summer Rose beauty powder and Silver Thorn e/s. I will have to see them in person of course but I'm definitely excited!

I used to just keep all my lipsticks in a basket and it took me forever everyday to find the lippie I was looking for. I finally decided it was time to revamp my lipstick storage. I bought this cute box from Winners and just added the compartments by cutting cardboard to the size of my lipsticks. My husband actually helped a lot with this...I guess he was tired of hearing me complain about my inconvenient storage. Hahah!! He's definitely a keeper. So here's what we made together:



As you can see, now there's room for a tone more. Now I just have to reorganize the rest of my makeup (they're mostly in plastic IKEA storage boxes).

I received an invite to attend the Hello Kitty event at the MAC store in the Rideau Centre on Feb 3rd. I'm so freakin excited. I've been buying and wearing MAC for 4 years now and this is the first time I got an invite! The collection actually won't be released till the 12th but I will be able to buy at the event...yeyyyy! What's even cooler is that my birthday is on the 5th and I know I will get some MAC gift cards from the hubby. I will get him to give them to me two days earlier so I can go nuts!

I'm still not sure how I feel about this collection. I actually really like the packaging though I never was a hello kitty fan. There is a whole bunch of accessories released with this collection which I will stay away from. I think most Hello Kitty fans will love the accessories though.
