Hi guys! I'm very minimal with makeup these days but still love me at least a few beauty products per day :D Thought I share my early summer favourites with you guys:
Lip Products
My favourite category!! Summer is the only season where I actually wear lipgloss. I love Nars Babe as it's a gorgeous pigmented warm red gloss and is not sticky. Another rediscovery is my ancient MAC Sock Hop (LE - Heatherette, 2008) which is a beautiful light coral cream. When it comes to lipsticks, I also go for warmer and creamier. Guerlain Rose Bengal Rouge Automatique is a warm rose that applies with some shimmer but is not gritty. Chanel Antigone Rouge Coco Shine is a lightly pigmented strawberry red and MUFE #37 Rouge Artist is a loud pink coral that will definitely make your lips stand out.
Swatches:
Left to right: Guerlain Rose Bengal, Chanel Antigone, MUFE #37, MAC Sock Hop, Nars Babe
Eye Products
I'm currently a fan of one product only eye makeup and hence gravitate towards cream shadows and bright eyeliners. L'Oreal Permanent Khaki Colour Infalliable is a shimmery olive green that is great as a lid colour blended up. Maybelline Barely Branded Color Tattoo (light golden beige) is an awesome all over colour and eye brightener. Chanel Illusoire Illusion d'Ombre is a tres chic sparkling mauve, love this one smoked out with a dark matte purple for the night. Shiseido H4 cream shadow (DC'd) is a unique blend of warm pink with green flash that looks wet when applied to the eyes. MUFE #22 aqua cream pot is the most gorgeous emerald green that I love applying on as a liner, base for green shadow or for the sparkling Lise Watier Golden Green Eye Glitter. I tend to apply Gosh Blue Lagoon Velvet Touch eyeliner on my lower lashline to elevate a neutral look.
Swatches:
Left to right: LW Golden Gree, Gosh Blue Lagoon, Chanel Illusoire, MUFE #22, L'Oreal Permanent Khaki, Maybelline Barely Branded, Shiseido H4
Face Products
I'm super low maintenance with face products in the warmer months. Lately been loving my Lancome Teint Miracle foundation (I use shade 4C - Buff) as it's light and natural on. I also apply MUFE Full Cover concealer ins shade #6 under my eyes and on scars and go a bit overload with Nars Laguna bronzer (another rediscovery in my stash). I need to bronze a lot these days as I did a spray tan on my body and now my face and body don't match, lol!
Nail Products
I'm traditional so in the summer I go nuts over brights and neons. I've also been loving a full on white manicure using OPI Alpine Snow, so elegant and goes with everything. My current fave neons are Zoya Lola (gorgeous bright pink) and China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard (super neon green, great on toes). I also enjoy the bright orange red that is Essie Meet me at the Sunset.

Hey lovelies! I was feeling kida restless so I was inspired to do this post after I saw miss Fancy Face, a.ka. Tina's blog post about her most used makeup items. Make sure you visit her fab blog, she's one of my greatest inspiration when it comes to makeup.
So you think given all the makeup I collect (and sometimes hoard, lol), there's no way I ever finished anything. But believe it or not, I have! here's a breakdown of the items I have finishes:
1. MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NW25) - this used to me my go-to foundation in the days I wanted heavier coverage. I have been through 4 bottles of this foundation but don't own any currently. Nowadays, I prefer a dewy and my skin but better kind of coverage.
2. MAC Blanc Type Eyeshadow - this is pretty much my everyday highlight shade. I prefer a matte highlight and so I cannot get enough of this gorgeous light ivory shade. I have finished a Blanc Type before and now am mostly out of my second. Need to pick another one ASAP.
3. MAC Snob lipstick - this light cool pink is hands-down the most used lipstick in my stash. I love wearing it with purple smokey eyes (which I tend to do a lot) and really any other eye combination. I have already finished a Snob and am now 50% down my second tube.
4. MAC Blankety Lipstick - Blankety was one of my first two MAC lipsticks ever (the other was Girl About Town, both purchased back in 2003). I have been through one tube already as this is the ideal nude shade for my skintone. I have started using my second tube since last November.
5. Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Eyeliner - Bourbon is a gorgeous shimmery medium brown and I reach for it almost blindly. Urban Decay's liners are so smooth and this one goes with everything. I am now on my second Bourbon and only have like 1/4 of my pencil left :(
6. Lise Watier Marin Eyeliner - I adore the quality of Lise watier's liners. They are also some of the longest lasting pencil liners I've tried. This navy shade does a great job of bringing out my amber eyes. I love this pencil and am now on my second one!
7. Annabelle Black Eyeliner - Annabelle is one of my fave drugstore brands and they make some badass eyeliners. Their black liner is very dark, applies smoothly and is long lasting. I think I've been through at least 10 of these since I've been using it since high school.
8. Lancome Hypnose mascara - I always have a few mascaras in rotation but none can ever take the place of Lancome Hypnose in my heart. This is the best volumizing mascara in the market. I usually wear it on night out only but yet been though at least 8 tubes (probably more).
9. MAC Sunbasque blush - so I currently don't own this blush as I ran out of my last one. But I used to fake tan using tanning beds back then (bad bad Saadeh) and loooooved Sunbasque on my skin. I think I've been through two Sunbasques. Gorgeous gorgeous shade! I never bought it again coz it reminds me of my bad tanning habits, nothing wrong with the shades though!
10. OPI Magala Wine - this red burgundy shade is the only nail polish I ever ran out of before it dried. Burgundies are my fave shades to wear on my nails and Magala Wine is the best of them all. I am now on my second Magala Wine.
11. MUFE Face and Body foundation (#32) - I rotate my foundations a lot but in the summer I only wear this light water based foundation. I even like the cooling affect I feel on my face after I apply this. I have already gone through one bottle and am now on my second one.
12. MAC Underage Lipgloss - This milky pink lipgloss is my most beloved gloss in the universe. I don't do as many nude lip looks anymore but when I do, I always layer Underage on top of my lipstick. Once again, I'm on my second tube.
What are your most used makeup items? What products have you ran out of?

Hey lovelies! I fixed my hair a bit this past weekend; cut my bangs again and did shorter layers. My longer bangs were driving me nuts, always in my eyes, lol! So I was motivated to do a pretty FOTD today. Since I hadn't used my purples in a bit I grabbed my go-to purple duo, Nars Jolie Poupee duo, and paired it with purpley pink lips. I don't usually do an all out purple look but this was fun. I'm also testing my Nars Copacabana Illuminator and so far loooooove it! Gonna do a review for you guys next week :)
Anyway, hope you like this look. Blogging will be my getaway this week as I'm working over 10-hours per day these days. I barely feel human anymore, booo :/

Hey beauties! It's been a while since I used my Rose pigment. I'm trying to go back to some of my old faves and Rose is def one of them. Now this pigment is very frosty so you want to use it with mixing medium and also tap it on, no sweeping or you get a tone of fall out. I use Rose on my cheeks in the summer as well but the affect is too much on my winter complexion. Either way, a very multi-purpose product and love how it glows <3>

I had a full on birthday weekend and enjoyed to the fullest. Two of my coworkers (though I would say more friends coz we always hang together) organized a dinner/clubbing get-together for me on Friday night. There was overall 15 of us out that night and we had a blast. Then I spent my actual birthday (Saturday) in Montreal with hubby shopping, fine dining and some more clubbing. Also had lunch at my folks (and more presents, yey) on today upon 0ur return from Montreal and are heading out for dinner at another friend's place. It's been quite a busy weekend and I'm lovin it! I went a bit crazy with my shopping in Montreal but it was a birthday treat, lol! Speaking of which, do you guys want to see clothing haul or should I just limit to makeup haul?
Anyway, this is my look from Friday night. It was my quick and easy glam look featuring red lipsticks. Let me know what you think.

Hubby and I started dating 8 years ago on this very same day. Even though we have also been married over 3 years, we still celebrate our dating anniversary as well the wedding one. We ended up going for a casual brunch date and then a stroll in the market yesterday. As I get older, I enjoy the simpler dates more and more. Here's some pictures of us throughout the years:
2003 - look how young we were!
2005 - engineering Ring ceremony
2007 - Our wedding
2009 - our best friends' wedding

Hey lovelies! I hadn't worn my bright pink lips in a while so I thought I contrast the golden warm shades on my eyes with cool bright pink a la MAC Show Orchid. I also used my MUFE #4 gold metal powder for the first time and OMG it is so gorgeous in action! I think I want to run to Sephora and get the other 3 gold shades as well (that is if they still have it).
Hope you guys enjoy this look. I'm still excited about my new hair :D

Hey lovelies and happy Sunday! I have excellent news, though you might already know it if you follow me on Twitter. My Professional Engineering Application was accepted and I now officially have my professional designation. They will be sending me my certificate and stamp shortly. I'm soooo excited! After a tough 4 year university program and then another 4 years of hard work and learning a tone from my seniors (special thanks to my awesome boss), I am now a "big head", hahah! This is why I'm loving my late 20's much more than the early years. All the hard work is paying off. I'm going shopping with my friend soon to pick something for bestie's wedding but I might stop by Chanel and treat myself to something chic :D
Anyway, this look is from Friday and is on the neutral side. I do adore my Chanel Rouge Coco Orchidee. It's such a beautiful soft red coral and looks prefect for any occasion.

Hey guys! I read a lot of beauty related magazines and articles but there are not that many of them that I find very accurate as I think there's always a tone of generalization in them. But I was reading an article in InStyle that talked about the universally flattering shades on eyes and lips. They mentioned that gold and purple are the most flattering shades on your eyes despite your complexion or eye colour and raspberry or warm pinks are the best for lips. I tend to personally agree with the article as I've never seen anyone who can't rock these shades.
Here's an FOTD of me wearing the universally flattering shades:

This is one of the simpler holiday inspired looks I've done but it's still stands out coz of the glitters. If you are in Canada, definitely get yourself some of Lise Watier's Eyeglitters as they are truly awesome! I've been collecting them since last year and they are the best glitter liners on the market. If you're not in Canada, make sure you still get a CP for them, you will not be sorry!

I wasn't sure if I wanted a no-makeup look or full on makeup for a trip to the mall (I was hunting for new shoes). Since I couldn't decide, I thought I experiment and do half face more dramatic makeup and the other half more neutral. Of course I took this face off before I went out, lol! I did score some great shoes too. I'm gonna make a post on those later. Here's my half naughty/half nice face, lol!
For the "Naughty" half, I did matte foundation and simple black and white cut crease; but I also went for a double liner, plum cheeks and dark two toned lips:
Face
Lise Watier Portfolio - Light
Pro Longwear foundation - NW25
Sculpt
Chanel Plum Attraction
Eyes
Painterly p/p - base
Nars Pandora duo - white half on lid, black half in the crease
UD Virgin e/s - highlight
MUFE #49 - above crease
Blacktrack f/l - to line
Feline e/k - waterline
Lancome Hypnose mascara
Lips
Annabelle Bordeaux
Night Violet Mattene
Port Red l/s
For the "Nice" half, I went with light foundation, neutral eye makeup, flesh pinky lips and glowy cheeks. Here's the breakdown:
Face
MUFE F&B - #32
Prim n Proper blush
BB Apricot Shimmerbrick
Eyes
Painterly p/p - base
UD Virgin e/s - all over lid
UD Naked e/s - above crease
UD Buck e/s - crease
Vanilla p/m - tearduct
UD Whiskey 24/7 - to line
UD Darkhorse e/s - to blend liner
MUFE Gold e/l - waterline
Chanel Rouge Noir inimitable mascara
Lips
Nars Sex Machine mvp
She Loves Candy
I liked the "nice" half better for my trip to the mall and that's how I did the face finally.
Which half do you guys prefer?
