I was in the mood to do a dark vampy look on Saturday and I went for it. I'm sad I have no natural light pics for this as the flash washes off the dark mood. But I thought I share anyway as I usually have the most fun when I do dark and moody looks and this was no exception.

Also, I'm thinking of doing a series of Holiday themed looks starting this week. I probably will do a couple per week. I have some great ideas and can't wait to show you guys :)

Me again! This is the look I wore to hubby's cousin's wedding. I went for a gray/burgundy look and the whole thing took 15 mins to do (we went out the night before so I slept in). The venue was amazing! The ceremony was held outdoors with a great view of the valley. The bride is a big tomboy so it was nice to see her all dolled up and girlie. She looked beautiful and had this glow about her. I'm just a big sucker for weddings!

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend so far. Hubby and I had a busy weekend socially and attended three b-day parties. I changed my look for two of them and will be posting the FOTD's throughout the week. This is the look I wore to the party last night and I went for my signature red lips. Instead of doing neutral eyes or black smokey eyes, I turned the smokyness into more of a cat-eye.

I was happy with how this came together. Hope you guys like this look too :)

Hey lovelies! I saw this picture of Makeup Forever's Moulin Rouge collection a few months ago and saved it my inspiration folder:



And finally gave it a shout yesterday. Now my version is not as dramatic as I actually wore this look to a lunch out with the hubby. I did like the result though, you all know how I love my red lipsticks and black liners. I tried very hard and not blend the outer edge and above crease shadow so it would look more like the picture.

Please try and ignore the obvious tan line on my chest. I tend to not sun bathe naked, lol! I also always shield my face with a big hat when tanning which is why my face is much lighter than my tanned body! Hope you like this look anyway.

I had a super productive yet relaxing long weekend and still enjoying what's left of it. We spent the entire Canada Day (Thursday) partying outside. On Friday I watched two of the quarter final games at home and went out in the town at night. On Saturday, we went out to a pub downtown to watch the second two games of the quarter finals (and saw my beloved Argentina get crushed by Germany, booo). Right after the games, we went to my parents, had awesome Persian kabobs and swam in their pool till late at night. The weather was gorgeous today (well sorta hot) so we went to the beach with some of our friend till now. I feel like the weekends been very full, I'm not ready to go back to work.

This is the look I wore on Friday night when hubby took me out to cheer me up. I was pretty upset over Ghana's unfair elimination at the World Cup. I used two of my most beloved (and brand new) products in this look. I will make another blog post with reviews of those items. Hope you guys like this look and hope your weekend was as great :)

I wore this look out on Saturday to watch the Ghana vs US game at bar with some friends and coworker. To my extreme happiness Ghana qualified to go through, I was definitely rooting for them as the only African team standing.

I went for sparkly teal and gold combination as it was a nice summer day and I wanted to shimmer and glimmer, haha! Hubby really likes these shades on me so he was quite pleased. Hope you guys like this too :)

Copper Sparkle is a difficult pigment to work with. For one it's very frosty and also a little chunky. I did a look very similar to this a couple of months ago and wasn't very happy with the outcome. It came out much better this time around. If you are working with high frost pigments, definitely layer them; first a layer of pigment with mixing medium and then another dry layer. Also make sure that the lid and crease colour don't cross or it will look messy, especially if you are working with a matte crease like I am here.

I did sort of an unusual smokey eye look last night. I wanted in wear bronzey shades but I also wanted to use corals. I came up with a smokey eye that is ok, I don't love it though. It was also raining so I took pics with flash and hence again my SPF is making my foundation look pale :/

How's everyone's weekend going so far? We're leaving to visit my sister in a few hours. I was hoping to use my parents pool while I was there but with this annoying rain it's unlikely. I really hope the sun comes out soon.

I had all these ideas for makeup looks while I was on vacation and couldn't wait to wear them when I got back. So I started today with this hot weather look I came up with sometimes when I was in Prince Edward Island. I was inspired by the red toned beaches on the southern shore of the island. I made it more "different" by adding a defined outer edge, pretty much a wing. I also think my tan is helping me pull off orange lips much more than before :)

Please excuse the face looking paler than the neck. The foundation does match but the sunscreen I'm wearing under is reflecting light. I got burnt pretty bad while on vacation so now I don't leave the house without my SPF45 :/ Let me know what you think.

I hardly do a full body pic but this is one of my fave summer outfits. I just like to throw on this Ralph Laurent tank dress. And of course to make my curves stand out more I always add a belt. The shoes are prob 2-3 year old, I believe they're from Guess.

Happy Monday everyone! This is a look I did yesterday to visit my parents on a whim as I just couldn't think abo0ut creative colour combos. I realized I do a lot of purple smokey but no navy smokey eye. I was a not a big fan of the look to be honest. It might have to do with my eyebrows looking nasty (which were later fixed by my mom). My mom loved the makeup though an commented that the navy brings out the hazel eyes. I gotta wear more navy I suppose.

We're having amazing sunny weather in Ottawa this weekend so naturally I've been outside most of yesterday and also today. We met up with some close friends of our for dinner and then drink last night and I went for my tried and true smokey purple eyes. This time I made them shimmery as well and paired it with matte cool lips (Snob - one of my fave lipsticks ever).

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and are ready for Monday. I wore this metallic look to lunch with hubby today. He actually loves metallics on me. His second fave look for me is red lips (which I do quite often). I used my beloved Goldilux yet again. I cannot rave enough about this pigment. Despite owning so many gold shades, Goldilux is my fave by far!

Here's the look, hope you guys like it. Btw, my eyebrows are now more spaced out. I prob make them a little shorter next week depending on how much I like them till then, lol!

So we rang the new Persian year yesterday at 1:30 pm and I wanted to do a classy and beautiful look so I went with red lips and subtle smokey eyes using gold/silver shades. I liked how it turned out though it's definitely it's not a very exciting look. It is however definitely a "me" look, hehe.

I sorta made my own Blooming Lovely l/s. I know that Blooming Lovely is lighter than what I have on but I put more Up the Amp that Lavender Whip as I wanted my lips to be bolder.

I had a super crazy day at work. I had to run two meetings and was on the phone for the rest of the day. I'm happy that the week is over. Friday evenings are my fave time of the week. Can you guys believe it's already March? Spring is so near, I'm excited coz that means I can start planing for my vacation soon (I'm leaving in May). I haven't been on vacation for a long time and I'm really exhausted! This is actually the look I did yesterday for an outing with the hubby (included shopping and brunch). We went straight to our friends' place to watch the hockey game. Speaking of which, congratulations to all Canadians! It was a great game and our team was amazing.

I used Cinderfella MES after a while coz I was just craving a smokey and sparkling eye look. I also wanted to wear my Myth l/s which I only wear with smokey eyes (coz it's too nude). Hope you guys like this. Have an awesome Monday night everyone!
