I haven't been impressed with the latest MAC release so most of my recent purchases have been from the perm line. I am however looking forward to the two collections below that will be released shortly.

So far I'm liking the sound of Magnetique l/g, Secret Crush See Thru Colour, the e/s quad (I hope the Bays in Ottawa get this one), Summer Rose beauty powder and Silver Thorn e/s. I will have to see them in person of course but I'm definitely excited!

Here's a picture of China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway that came out last year with their blue collection (cannot for the life of me remember the name). This is a nice deep blue creme but I'm not a big fan of the application. I absolutely love this blue collection and own three of the polishes but I have a hard time with every single polish when it comes to applying. I guess China Glaze formula is a hit and miss for me. The colours are just amazing and there are tones to choose from but some are just a pain in the a*** to apply.

This is 2 coats and pic taken in overcast spring day!

I haven't done a mix of warm and cool colours in a while. We're in between seasons now so I thought this would be appropriate. Our office is super dead these days. We're usually extremely busy in the summer but this time of the year is our "low" time. It's driving me crazy! I think I'm going to talk to another one of the managers in our office to see if their department needs an extra hand now until we get to our busy time.

I'm on a roll again with looks! I didnt mean for this to be a barbie look, I was just trying on more spring shades but when I finished I realized that it is a bit "barbie".

Btw, I'm very much looking forward to Colour Ready. I want to get the line filler for my mom, finishing powder and Impassioned and maybe Bitter for me. I'm going to the mall on Thursday!

This orangey bronze nail colour from OPI's South Beach Collection is not the type of colour I'm usually drawn to. However, on my quest to make all the colours somehow work for me I picked this up and I actually like it. I still say I like blues, pinks and berries better but this is not bad either. The picture below is 2 coats, application as always is a dream for me when it comes to OPI. I have long nails and the pro wide brush is my friend.

It's a much warmer day today so I was inspired to wear colours I wear mostly in the summer. This is not to say it was "summer" warm though, just not cold..hehe. I also tried my Spirit lipstick, the only brownish lipstick that looks good on me, with Nymphette and I actually love this combo. I think I will be wearing this a lot. I also haven't worn X-Rocks for so long, I love the texture of this blush but it's very pigmented and I like to apply it with 187.

Another neglected eyeshadow I haven't been using much. Today is a warmer day so I thought I wear this colour after a while. I have also started to use just concealer and MSFN for my daily looks. I will reserve the foundation for more rare occasions. I actually quite like the look MSFN gives me.

Here's my mani for the day. Misa "the Grass is Greener on My Side" topped with Misa "Sweet Pleasure" which is a blue green glittery top coat. I have never owned a green polish before and though green is still not my favourite mani colour, I really don't mind it either. It's a nice change.

Grass

I wore this look to dinner out with some friends last night. I decided to try out my new lipstick, Saint Germain. Now I'm not really happy with the end result as I think the eyes are too much for this lipstick....so in gerenal there's a lil bit of overkill. Next time I wear this lipstick I will go easier on the eyes. Funny enough in the group of friends I went to dinner with, all the guys loved the lipstick :/ I don't know.

I wore this look the Persian New Year party I attended last night, was lotsa fun. I also died my hair dark brown again except this time it has red/purple undertones. You can probably see it best in the last picture. I guess I'm a big fan of blues these days and Freshwater e/s is always included!

This review is a little bit late I know. By now there must be tones of other reviews about this collection out there but thought I still share my thoughts about it. It might help someone out there. I saw this collection yesterday and came out with only Saint Germain l/s, the only item in my opinion worth owning.

Tri Colour Lipglasses
These are extremely sheer. I didn't even bother swatching them as I don't even like the idea of the three colours mixing. Pass if you like your lipglosee to be pigmented.

Lipsticks
Touch: kinda of a brown-y lipstick. It's available permanently but oddly enough my counter didn't have it in stock. So that one is missing from the swatches.
Bubbles: This is a sheer beige lipstick with a glase formula. I don't know how I would use it. On its own it washes me out. I can imagine you could layer it over other lip products but I didn't see it worth the money at the end.
Saint Germain: this is a beautiful barbie type pink. I'm a sucker for pink lipsticks especially the ones that stand out like this one. I tried it on to make sure it works on my complexion and since it looked fab, I got it. For reference I'm about an NW25.
Sweet Thing: This is Pomposity in luster form. If you have Pomposity, you can safely skip, which I did.
Lollipop Lovin: I have this from last year's release with Heatherette. It's a beautiful sheer coral/peach colour with green duochromes. Only it seems like this time around there isn't much green in it. I think I prefer the Heatherette version.

Eyeshadows
The only one I was interested and hence swatched was Aquavert. It's a beautiful minty green but as I have both Warm Chill and Lusterleaf I skipped it. Club and Stars 'n Rockets which are also part of this collection are perm and Sugarshot to me looked like a boring goldish highlight colour. I much prefer Solar White and Blanc Type for highlight.

Shadesticks
These are creamy and swatch beautifully. I ended up not getting any of them thought I might go back for Red Velvet. I still prefer the paint pots as base or I go to my trustee Mehron palette for bright bases. Overall these are nice if you don't have a lot of bases like me. The only one I thought didn't apply as smooth as the others was Cakeshop.

MSF
Refined: This on didn't show up on me at all! I swatched it on my hand and my hands are kinda golden (as opposed to my pink face) so easy skip for me.
Perfect Topping: is a nice peachy nude colour and is beautiful as a highlight if you don't already have three highlighting products in a similar colour family like me. I was extremely tempted by this though as these MSF are a lot smoother than some of the older ones. But I managed to talk myself out of it. lol!

Here are some swatches:

This is the polish I decided to wear to kick off spring. It's actually more summer appropriate than spring but I've been waiting forever to wear this so here you go. My hands look kinda dry in this pic. I think the long dry winter is always unkind to me, or perhaps I need to change my hand creme. This is two coats btw

Strawberry Fields

Mythology, Goldmine and Freshwater were my first 3 MAC eyeshadows purchased back in 2004. I use Goldmine and Freshwater still on a weekly basis but U have been neglecting Mythology. It's a beautiful colour and though it's a luster finish, the colour payoff is still amazing.

On another note, Persian New Year starts tomorrow morning at precisely 7:45 am. This marks the beginning of spring and I'm super excited. I have to think of looks for various events I'll be attending this weekend for the occasion. So stay tuned for more elaborate looks.

I loved the eyeshadow combination I wore today. Funny enough this was entirely random; I slept pretty bad last night so I got out of bed later than usual so I had to hurry through my makeup planing/wearing. Yet I still loved the end result. Except for some reason the e/s don't look well blended in the full face shot, I swear they are blended IRL...and somehow the colours don't look as vibrant as they actually are AND I looks so freaking pale in these pics.....argh!!

Ok, I stop complaining, I'm in a crappy mood coz of lack of sleep.
