I went out on Friday night for a party celebrating a friend/coworker's 30th b-day as well as a goodbye party for another coworker. I work with a lot of peeps who are between 28-35 years old and we are a tight group who often go out together. There were about 25 of us at the restaurant/lounge and we had a blast. Good food and many alcoholic beverages were consumed.

I did a navy blue smokey eye with some glitter that I wasn't a huge fan of but I took pics so I thought I share anyway. Here we go:

and here's a couple of pics of the outfit I wore. I'm a big believer in "little black dress" and so I have a few. This one is one of my "can't think of what to wear" pieces that always looks polished:

Hey guys! I'm a little hagover today due to long hours of partying last night but thought I make at least one weekend blog post. This one is my newest favourite nail polish Zoya Crystal. I picked two of the Fire and Ice polishes and Crystal was the first one that caught my eyes. Crystal is a light blue with gold shimmer. The shimmer is fine and pretty evenly distributed. I find the polish almost looks teal/gold in some light settings. Either way a GORGEOUS colour!

I did two layers for this NOTD. Application was a breeze!

Happy Friday lovelies! I'm so excited about end of the week as usual! We're having a busy weekend full of social events and I'm psyched! I'm also planing a big NYE bash with my best friend and we'r meeting up to set the details for that on Sunday.

I did a warm daytime smokey look today and I hope you enjoy it. I used one of my top lipsticks of 2010, Niagara! I will be posting my top 10 products of 2010 within the next week so keep an eye out for that. Hope you like this look and have a great weekend everyone :)

Yey, I remembered to do a blog poll! This one is a bit personal to me (and not at all about makeup, lol) so please help me out.

I have made a tentative appointment to have lasik eye surgery in the first week of January. I have been wearing glasses since I was 16 and contacts since I was 19. My eyes are about -3.5 each. My mom had lasik surgery done 11 years ago and is still happy with the result. My younger sister also recently had the procedure done and is very pleased. I've been thinking about it more since her procedure and finally went in for a consultation last week and booked my surgery date. I've since been having second thoughts again though. The truth is I'm terrified of surgeries and really worry I might back out last minute. I keep thinking about possibly going blind (i know, i know!). So I'm going back and fourth even though the date is booked.

Have you had lasik eye surgery? If so, was the procedure and the money spent worth it for you?

As if I needed an occasion to profess my love for red lips! But I love this time of the year coz I actually get to wear reds to the office too! Red is by far my favourite colour for lipstick. My mom was a big red lipstick wearer when I was growing up and I probably inherited that from her. Nothing like the simple elegance of scarlet lips!

So I counted and I have *gasps* 20 red lipsticks! It was hard for me to pick my absolute top 5 but I managed to do so. Hopefully you guys enjoy this other holiday special post. I have tried to pick one of each category of red (retro red, neutral red, starter red, orange red and vampy red):

1. Nars Dragon Girl velvet matte lip pencil ($24) - this is my absolute go-to red lip product. I'm a huge fan of Nars matte lip pencil formula. It's matte without drying my lips and the application is super easy. Dragon Girl is a blue toned red and to me the perfect retro red! MAC Ruby Woo is a dupe for this (I own both), but I prefer the Nars as it's less drying.

2. Makeup Forever Rouge Intense Artist #43 ($20) - I love this lipstick coz it's creamy and long lasting. There's no shimmer or sparkle, just creamy goodness! This is the Moulin Rouge shade launched with MUFE's new Rouge Intense Artist line and it's the closest to neutral red I have. It's probably still more blue than orange toned. Love love love this!

3. Chanel Rouge Coco in Cambon #31 ($37) - I have raved and raved about this lipstick in the past so I won't be repeating myself. But Cambon is a young girl's kinda red, a good start-up red. It's not as dramatic as some of my other red loves as it leans very pink. Rouge Coco's wear very comfortable on the lips and are by far my fave lipstick formula. Cambon is also a great daytime red.

4. Nars Heat Wave ($24) - This is my latest and one of the most precious lipstick additions. I never thought I'd love an orange toned red lipstick this much. Nars Heat Wave has a matte formula but I don't find it drying at all. The orange undertones really brighten up my paler winter complexion. Cannot get enough of this shade. MAC Lady Danger is very similar to this.

5. MAC Rougette Mattene ($16) - alas this gorgeous shade was LE from 2007. Rougette is my pic for the ideal "vamp" red. It's a deeper, more burgundy based red and I adore the Mattene formula. It feels like satin finish on lips but looks matte. My other dupe for this is MAC So Scarlet (they look identical on my lips) which was also sadly LE.

I had a bit of an annoying night as I rushed home, ate and changed to be ready for this kid I'm supposed to be teaching calculus to show up. Except he went completely MIA and didn't even call! I called and left a message an nothing. It was kinda frustrating as I waited around for him for a bit and was my time wasted. Anyway, he has two more sessions with me and I guess best for him to show up if he wants to pass calculus!

I hadn't done a double wing liner in a bit so I thought i spice this liner up for another Holiday Look. I love adding a bit of glitter liner in between the two wings for some oomhhh, lol! I also sported my recent fave lip combo of Nars Heat Wave l/s + Nars Babe l/g. Orange lips are HOT HOT HOT!

Hi beauties! This is gonna be a less creative week for me in terms of blogging and you'll probably just see my everyday FOTD's. I'm tutoring about 14 hours of calculus this week and barely have time to rest once I get home let alone think about thought provoking blog posts, lol! Hope you enjoy today's look though. I hadn't used my Blue Brown pigment in a while so thought I do a subtle smokey eye with it.

Are you guys done decarating and shopping for the holidays? We put up our tree last night but I still haven't done any Christmas shopping. I really have to get around to it by next week the latest!
