After one week of absence due to me being on vacation, we're back with the weekly installment of Thursday Poll. For today's poll, I wanted to ask you guys your opinion on foundation application method.

I mainly use my MAC 187 for my liquid foundations application. This is a stippled brush so it does a good job of blending the colour in as I apply meaning it's also a quicker application process. The 187 works well with a variety of foundations such as my MAC fix fluid, MUFE HD, MUFE F&B and Nars Sheer Glow. For a more gel based foundation like my MAC studio sculpt, I use a Quo brush that resembles MAC 190, so it's more of a flat brush. I find the 187 doesn't spread the product well enough with the foundations like the studio sculpt. For my powder foundations like MUFE Duo Mat and Annabelle mineralize loose foundation I use another Quo brush which is an exact dupe for MAC 180. Any kabuki brush would work and this is what I use.

I have not tried applying foundations with my finger or a sponge. Brushes have always been my go to. If you guys use either methods, how does it work for you? Please share in comments specifying the type of foundation you use as well.

I used to use the 187, but now I used the #130. If you have it you should definitely try it. The application & finish are soo nice & natural

Don't know how useful my comment will be, since I don't use liquid foundation - but I use BE's Handy Buki brush, and Meow Cosmetics' loose powder mineral foundation (Frisky Chausie).

I switched away from liquid foundations because I always felt them on my face, and that bothered me. (Vous? Oversensitive? Moi? :D ) I tried several loose-powder/mineral foundations before I found the one I use now. (Same for the brush, actually...I started out using a baby buki brush, but found that it didn't give me enough coverage, and since it essentially had no handle...I got cramps in my hands.)

I used a brush when I was using MAC Studio Fax, but now that I'm using MAC Mineralized powder f/dation I find the sponge attachment much easier - plus no loose powder going up my nose!

LiAnne, loose powder foundation can be pretty good too. I use loose powder during the summer. I gotta check out BE's Handy Buki brush :)

Petrina, oh I haven't tried that foundation yet. How do u like it during the warmer months?
