After posting about my new lipstick storage, I decided I post my entire vanity area here too. I store my makeup in the two top drawers of my vanity and the rest is for lingerie, tanks, scarves....

I used to just keep all my lipsticks in a basket and it took me forever everyday to find the lippie I was looking for. I finally decided it was time to revamp my lipstick storage. I bought this cute box from Winners and just added the compartments by cutting cardboard to the size of my lipsticks. My husband actually helped a lot with this...I guess he was tired of hearing me complain about my inconvenient storage. Hahah!! He's definitely a keeper. So here's what we made together:



As you can see, now there's room for a tone more. Now I just have to reorganize the rest of my makeup (they're mostly in plastic IKEA storage boxes).

Yesterday I also noticed that Head2toe has the China Glaze Summer Days Collection! So I made an order for some of the polishes I wanted from that collection plus some more. Here's what I ordered:

I realized that I haven't actually ever used Kelly Green pigment and I wonder why that is. It's such a nice happy green and I feel like it's gonna get a lot more use from now on. Also, it was 1 degree today when I left the house. I mean we're in the plus sides of things which means that spring is coming...yeyyyyy! Kelly Green looks so spring-y to me, it's really helped brightening my mood :)

I'm figuring out different ways to wear Post Haste. It's one of my favourite Matte2 colours but I'm still playing with it to get max use.

This is sorta inspired by the hello kitty collection eventhough the only Kitty product I used is Deep Blue Green pigment. We went downtown to have a couple of martinis and I took the opportunity to go smokey.

I just received the result of my professional practice exam that I wrote back in December and I passed!!!! This is an exam engineers have to pass in the province of Ontario to be able to obtain their professional license. This exam, 4 years of experience and the engineering degree are all the requirments for getting licenced. I have one more year of experience left but I can hardly wait now.

After I got my result, I went to MAC and treated myself to a full size Deep Blue Green pigment (I have a sample from last year and I'm almost out). So i thought I take the opportunity and post my collective haul for the month of February.

I recently received two triple awards from two of my fellow bloggers and friends Shayla from Reflections of a Reve Noir and Beda from Beda's Beauty Blog. I'm excited to receive this award twice. I mean, I didn't receive a lot of awards growing up (except maybe my karate medals), so to know that ppl read my random thoughts and hopefully like my FOTD's just makes me so happy I want to cry!

The triple award is compoesed of three categories all assembled into one: Sisterhood Award, Best Friend Award and Lemonade Award.

Another green-ish kinda look. I had to be out of the house by 7 am to go to site so this was very quick. I only used two e/s!! I can't even believe it! That's why it's good to have some versatile all over lid pigments like Vanilla, Your Ladyship and Blondes Gold (I've got all three). Vegas Volt is a gorgeous l/s but I find it's too warm for my skintone so I always pair with a peachy tone gloss. Today I toned it down with Lollipop Lovin and love the result! I think the only time I was able to wear Vegas Volt on its own was when I tanned a lot in the Dominican and became like an NC40 or something!!

Somehow I look kinda pink in these pics. I think it's because I wore my SPF15 foundation instead of my Smashbox. The coverage is a lot more sheer and hence doesn't cover all the pink in my face :/

I'm still trying out my new Misas. This is Dirty Sexy Money from their spring collection. I love this polish, I've never seen anything like it before. It sort of green yet blue but not teal or turquoise...again very interesting. Excuse the crappy application

I'm not big on Valentine's Day, never was. I just don't see a point of dedicating one single day to love. I rather celebrting our love on days that are "us". Our dating anniversary, our wedding anniversary....and I much prefer getting flowers from my husband when i least expect it, that is, any day but Valentine's Day. Anyway, I'm probably the only person on Earth who feels this way, but again I've never been the conventional type..hahha.

Anyway, this weekend is the long weekend here in Ontario as Monday is Family Day. I've been reaxing at home after a long long week at work. But here's a look I wore yesterday when one of our friends was over. I don't think browns are my best colours, but meh...need to use all of my makeup.

Work stress continues for me but at least I'm back to wearing MU everyday! I still haven't had the guts to wear Bright Fuchsia on the lid, but as a liner it rocks! I also tried on my first Misa, Sweat Pleasure. Seriously the pic doesn't do it justice. It's a sheer colour but has lotsa blue/teal reflects. It looks awesome when it's bright out.

I ordered a bunch of Misa nailpolishes via the Scrangie offer. I love her blog and am so thankful for the promotion. This gave me a chance to order these nailpolishes at a discount price and also I'm always up for trying out new brands. I have never tried Misa before. I ordered 12 nail polishes and though i haven't tried them yet, these polishes look gorgeous in their cute bottles.
