Happy Saturday everyone! I did a silver n taupe look last weekend that a lot you guys liked so I thought I do a tutorial for it. I apologize for the quality of the pictures, the tutorial was done in the bathroom, lol! The technique for this tutorial is simple you can really use and colours with the same methods. I liked these shades coz they're a great alternative to black smokey eyes in the summer heat.
Here's a picture of everything I used:
MAC painterly paint pot
MAC e/s in Wedge, Smut and Blanc Type, MAC Silver Fog pigment
Nars Bali e/s single
NYX Black e/s
Smashbox Heartbreaker liquid liner
Lancome Hynose mascara
MUFE F&B in shade #32
BB Nude shimmer brick
Nars Roman holiday lipstick
Brushes: 217, 239, 226, 224, 219 and 187 by MAC, angled crease brush by Royal Brushes and cream e/s brush and powder brush by Quo
1. We start with a naked face, well I do have sunscreen on (Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF45). Excuse the messy bangs.
2. Apply Painterly all over your lid with the cream e/s brush. You could also use your fingers. Then add Wedge e/s above your crease in a windshield washer motion. You can hardly see it coz of the lighting but it's there. Wedge helps transition crease colour to highlight.
3. Add Silver Fog pigment in the inner lid with the 239 or any shading brush. Make sure to tap and not drag to get less fallout.
3. Put Smut e/s in the outer half of you lid slightly into the crease again using the 239.
4. Add Nars Bali e/s into the crease using the 226. I usually start in my outer v, do circle motion there and drag what's left into crease in windshield washer motion. You can always add more colour if needed but better start with less. I also added my highlight of colour, Blanc Type with the bend crease brush. I like this brushe coz it also slightly blends the highlight with the crease shade as you deposit colour.
5. Add a little bit of NYX Black e/s in your outer crease. I use the 217 for this and just hover the brush in the outer v area, also drag a bit of it in the crease.
6. Add Silver Fog, Smut and Bali to the lower lashline using the 219. Line your upper lashline with any black liner (I used a liquid liner by Smashbox). Also apply your mascara of choice, I use Lancome Hypnose, my HG.
7. I didn't take separate pics for this since my face routine is usually the same. I applied the MUFE F&B with the 187, set it with Ben Nye translucent powder and then applied Nude Shimmer Brick using a powder brush by Quo. I also applied Nars Roman Holiday on my lips for the final product.
Hope you guys find this helpful. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
