Thursday Poll - Essential Makeup Item

For this week's edition of Thursday Poll, I decided to talk about essential makeup items. When you're in a hurry, too tired or just can't be bothered with makeup, what is the one item you always reach for?

I personally cannot live without my mascara. I think my lashes are fairly long but I feel naked without my beloved Lancome Hypnose or CG Lashblast. I do go to the gym totally bare faced though. In the winter, I cannot leave the house without blush. I'm light medium toned but tan quite a lot in the summer (I go from NW25 in the winter to NC35 in the summer, haha!). So in the winter it's mascara + blush and in the summer because of my tan and warm weather glow just mascara. I know I cheated and selected two items for winter but I honestly feel like I look pale without the blush :/

What are your thoughts on this? What is the one item (or two max) you cannot be without?

    Other, because if I'm okay with leaving the house without makeup. Actually, I normally don't wear *any* makeup on weekends, unless I'm going out with friends or something.

    Shayla - you're brave. The only places I go bare face are the gym and the grocery store. Weekends are actually my time to do bolder looks, coz I can't do them at work :D

    Other - its definitely lipstick...i feel & look so so dull w/o having lipstick on....its a must for me

    Mine would definitely have to be a eyeprimer. There are days when I go bare faced, but I always have a primer on my eyes to keep them from looking oily.

    That, and blush, like you, I feel like it adds a little colour to my face and doesn't make me look so bland. (:

    Chibu - Oh, I forgot about lipstick. I'm sure you're not alone in feeling it's a must.

    Arezu - do you have primer on even w/o eyeshadows? What is your fave brand for primer?

    mac's painterly or soft ochre paintpots & mascara. I also use lipbalm but that is part of my skincare routine, so I'm not cheating lol.

    Brave = crazy. ;)

    Maybe I just have nowhere to go on the weekend - and refuse to spend 15 mins on my makeup for a 20 min run to the grocery store :)
